Carmelo Anthony’s “Stop Snitchin” DVD is actually in UMBC’s library. Seriously.
This one should be on BET’s Hot Ghetto Mess (or whatever the show is officially called). The University of Maryland, Baltimore County keeps a copy of the Stop Snitchin DVD in their library. Here’s the screen shot of their library search results. As you may recall, “Stop Snitchin” was a campaign endorsed by many hiphop stars and athletes, including Carmelo Anthony, encouraging people not to talk to the police.
I can understand if UMBC wants to have some material on a local native son-turned-star. I’m sure the University System is grateful to their magnanimous donor (who was that, anyway? Wee-Bay?). But try putting in a highlight reel instead.
I think Carmelo is due for a cameo on The Wire. He could play Snoop’s cousin. No word on whether Pacman Jones’ instructional “rainmaking” video has made it into UWV’s collection yet.

Sorry, coach. I didn’t see who made those shots.

Stumble it!
